Jerry W. Bickford, 74, of Lincoln, died 9/3/2017. He was born 8/10/1943 in Hamilton County, Nebraska, to Leo and Eileen (Lemmon) Bickford. Jerry graduated from Lincoln High in 1961.  He was a retired meat manager at Save Mart for 25 years. Jerry dealt with numerous health challenges throughout his life.  One of those challenges happened in 1987 when his voice box was removed as the result of cancer.  From that time on he spoke with an electronic voice box.  Doctors told him he would never work again.  However, the doctors were not aware of Jerry's strong work ethic.  Jerry's 25 year career at Save Mart followed this surgery.  He was a Member of Immanuel Church.

Family includes wife, Jackie (Keyser) LHS class of 1961; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Hughes, Longwood, Fla.; Angela and Randy Welch, Hillsboro, Kan.; Katheryn and Steven Palmer, Lincoln; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Leona Copley, Lincoln; Cheryl Finch, Lincoln; Caroline Dixon, Coon Rapids, Minn.; Derald Bickford, Lincoln; Ricky Bickford, Lincoln; Rita Charles, Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
