Jerry N. Shaw, 74, of Lincoln, passed away September 30, 2017. Jerry was born in Casey, Iowa, on September 15, 1943, to John and Vivian Shaw. Jerry was a three-sport athlete at Lincoln High School (football, track, and wrestling), and was inducted into the Lincoln High Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. Jerry began working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after graduating from Lincoln High school. He then enlisted to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry then returned to work at Goodyear for over 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, active in many activities and hobbies.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Shirley Hinkle; and his brother, Albert Shaw. Survivors include his wife, Donna H. Shaw; daughter, Sandy Cunning and husband, David Cunning; and son, Sam Shaw; grandchildren, Jerry R. Cunning, Parker Cunning, Aria Shaw, and Octav Shaw; brother-in-law, Dick Hinkle; brother, Jack Shaw and wife, Dorothy Shaw; sister, Monette Diaz and husband, Dick Diaz; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 2, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 510 S. 33rd, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Redeemer Lutheran Church or to the family for future designation.
