Richard was born on December 11, 1942, grew up in Lincoln and attended Prescott Elementary and Irving Junior High before attending LHS.  After high school, Richard joined the Marines but was unable to continue after basic training.  He returned to Lincoln and began 30 years of employment with Jacob North Printing.  Richard married Cheryl in 1972 and they made their home in Lincoln.  Throughout Richard's adult life he was devoted to body building.  Richard suffered from diabetes and died from complications of the disease.  He died February 1, 2014.  He is survived by his wife, Cheryl.  The Class of 1961 extends sincere condolences to Cheryl, family and friends.  Cheryl expressed gratitude for an opportunity to share information about Richard's life with the Class of 1961.
