We thank Marv Itzen for notifying us of the passing of classmate, Richard W. Durham.

Richard “Dick” Warren Durham, age 81, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Dick was born March 3, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Delmer and Rosalie (Ogale) Durham. He graduated from Lincoln High in 1961 and joined the Army National Guard. He met his wife of 50 years, Donna Kulla, while performing with the Lincoln Water Skiers Club putting on shows at Capital Beach. They married, and to this union two children were born, Diana and Michael. Dick worked as a supervisor for the Nebraska Department of Roads and later for the Lincoln Regional Center as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 210 and was a ham operator with the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club. After retiring Dick enjoyed tinkering and helping other people. He also enjoyed cooking and smoking meat. He liked offering his homemade jerky to friends and acquaintances. Dick loved spending time with his three granddaughters, attending their functions and watching them grow. He took them fishing, camping, 4-wheeling and metal detecting. Dick is survived by his daughter, Diana (Scott) Clark of Lincoln; son, Michael, of Phoenix; granddaughters Shelby (Alex) Lund of Phillips, NE; Madison Clark of Lincoln; Riley Clark of Lincoln; and great-grandsons Leyton, Landyn, and Kysen. Dick is preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 6th 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 7th 2023 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
