Kay Elizabeth Michael of Lincoln, sister, aunt, friend, animal lover, died peacefully in her home on February 6th, 2024, at the age of 81. She enjoyed her many visitors in the preceding days, and was taken home to her Lord and Savior with her sister by her side. Kay was a life long member of the Church of Christ. Kay was born in Albion, NE on August 31, 1942. She was the youngest child of Vera (Nichols) Michael and Walter Michael’s seven children. She grew up on her parents’ farm in Albion until they moved to Lincoln in 1958. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961 and worked at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln for 30 years. In her retirement she could be found at Husker working out, sneaking a snack to her beloved puppy, Angel, playing cards with her family or going out with her friends. Left to cherish her are her sister, Karen (Michael) Berryman, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Donna Jean Michael, four brothers, four sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law, Duane Michael (Donna King), Merlin Michael (Virginia Russell), Donald Michael (Hope Lang), Gary Michael (Dawn Reed), and William (Karen) Berryman.
