In Memory

Dewitt A. Ault

Dewey was the oldest of 5 siblings, having two sisters and two brothers.  Three generations of his family, beginning with Dewey’s grandfather, owned an electrical contracting business.  Dewey started going to the shop as a preschooler and followed in the trade.  Eventually he became a journeyman electrician and working in the family business became his career.  He was married to Dinna Stoneman (LHS Class of ’62) for 16 years and they had two daughters.  He later remarried and he and his second wife had two sons.  Dewey enjoyed hunting and fishing but he showed special talent for grilling and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Dewey was in a car accident on West O, by Shoemakers Truck Stop on September 16, 1981, in which he and one other passenger died.  His brother, also in the car, survived.

Our gratitude to Dinna for generously providing this biographical information.
