With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Judith Elaine Hanham on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the age of 81 years old. She was the wife Jack Dale Hanham for 62 years. She was preceded in death by their only child, daughter Sarah Lynn Behunin on October 14, 2024. “Judy” was born on August 31, 1943 In San Jose, California. Her parents were Kenneth and Dorothy Greely. Judy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband were sealed in the Oakland, California Temple.

Judy had attended various schools throughout her young life as her Father had a career in the U.S. Air Force which necessitated frequent moves. Upon her fathers retirement they returned to San Jose with her 5 younger siblings. During this time she had lived with and helped care for her blind Grandmother Edith Pyle. Judy also attended San Jose City College where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. During this time She was Receptionist at San Jose USO Center for military personnel. This is where she met her soon to be eternal companion Jack Hanham who was in the U.S. Navy stationed nearby. With Jack it was love at first sight. The next 62 years were an interesting adventure with Jack undertaking a successful career in Law Enforcement. During this time Judy was employed with several banking institutions. And finely was able to retire with 27 years of service with the Utah Retirement Systems. She was a retirement specialist.

Judy is survived by 2 sisters who live in San Jose; Janice Hatfield and Joyce Greely.

Besides helping care for her daughter Sarah and Sarah’s husband Douglas who also had special needs. Judy also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and cooking. Judy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and service to others. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband and all who knew this wonderful wife and mother.
