In Memory

Marilyn K. Owen (Skold)

Marilyn Kay Owen Skold, 60, passed away April 5, 2004, after a long illness. She was born August 20, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She is survived by her husband, Dennis Skold, of Corpus Christi, Texas, her mother and three brothers.

Marilyn grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961. After high school, she lived in Grandview, Missouri, Corpus Christi and Wichita Falls, Texas, and Edwards Air Force Base, California. She returned to Corpus Christi in 1977, and married Dennis Skold in 1979. She and Dennis went to Guam with the US Navy in 1981 for three years, then returned to Corpus Christi, where they remained. She was employed as a civilian in the Department of Defense at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi for 21 years.

Marilyn’s family will miss her sense of humor and her smile. She was kind and generous, and loved her family.

Honoring Marilyn’s wishes, a private service was held for the immediate family. Interment was at Seaside Memorial Park. The family suggest donations be made to The American Lung Association (www.lungusa.org) or a charity of choice.
