For several years after LHS graduation, Aletta was a “Lost Link”, but with diligent work her address was located and Aletta responded when our 40^th reunion mailing “found” her.  She was living in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Aletta had been working as a hair stylist until November 2000.  She suffered from a stroke and was unable to continue working.  Aletta died December 7, 2003.  Aletta was survived by her husband, Clarence, four children and three stepchildren and her brother.  She had 17 grandchildren.   

A note was received from Aletta's husband, Clarence Moore, in 2005.  In speaking of Aletta, Clarence said, "Her high school days meant so much to her.  So I know she would have loved to have joined you all at the reunion."  She is greatly missed by her family.
