Charles W. (Bill) Worrall

Charles W. (Bill) Worrall died Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Lincoln.  Bill attended Whittier Junior High and for one year attended Lincoln High.  In the fall of 1959, Bill transferred to Lincoln Southeast and graduated in 1961.  At Southeast he played basketball, baseball and ran on the track team.  He was a member of "S Club" and Key Club.  More of Bill's family information follows.
 
Bill was born in Lincoln to Charles C. and Margaret Jean (Keim).  Bill was a people person who enjoyed gardening and garage sales.  He enjoyed antique hunting and like to collect old vinyl records.  He was an avid sports fan and could talk about games and stats with family and friends for hours.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Perry, and his beloved dog, Ebony.
 
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Dawn Worrall; daughter Marcya Phillips; grandchildren Aubry Worrall and her fiance Cody Hoegemeyer, Rebecca Worrall, Kalie Merrick and Estrella Uribe; great grandson Aiden Hoegemeyer; brother Michael Worrall; nieces, nephews and extended family.
 
Memorial service 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Memorials to the family for a later designation.

The following information was provided by our classmate, Dewey Larson, a neighbor and friend of Bill's.

Billy was the son of Chuck Worrall who was a Gym Teacher at Whittier and a high school football ref around Lincoln.  Billy lived off of south 27th street I believe it was M street that went east off of 27th.  He lived right around the corner in a Brick House.  Bill went to Elliott and Whittier and Lincoln High.  I just remember Bill from when we were young and living in the neighborhood.  He was a good individual then and I lost track of him later on in life until now seeing his passing.  If you still have your GREENLEAF or LINK you can see a photo* of him in Jr. High and High School.
