Robert Lee Farber, died August 28, 2013. Born on August 30, 1943 to Marguriete (Ray) & William H. Farber. Served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific and during the Cuban Crisis on USS Manatee 1960-1964. Enjoyed playing baseball while serving his country as well as feeding the troops. After his tour, he was employed by C.B.& Q Railroad then to present Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 39 years. Member VFW and American Legion. Enjoyed being a pack master for Cub Scouts. He was a Little Chiefs Baseball and girls softball coach, and was a foster parent for many children. Enjoyed fishing, camping, and never missed a chance to watch Big Red Football. During his later years, he enjoyed working on genealogy and seeing friends.

Survived by wife of 46 years, Judy (Holman) Farber; son, Robert Lee Farber Jr. (Michelle) Lincoln; daughter, Julie Ann Farber (fiance, Rod Johnson) rural Lancaster County; grandchildren, Jessica Haley Farber, Robert Lee Farber III, James Charles Stuart, Josie Elizabeth Stuart and Steven Lee Dieter. Other close relationships include Rachael Hightshoe, Michael Hartshorn, Samantha & Benjamin Johnson; many cherished nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, siblings, Richard Lee, Elizabeth Ann, Jerome, and Donna Ray Farber; son in infancy, Roman Lee Farber.

Services: 10 a.m Tuesday, Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street. Burial: Holland Cemetery. Visitation: 1-9 pm Sun. and 9am-9pm (with family 5-7pm) Mon. at the funeral home. Memorials to the family. Condolences at www.bmlfh.com.
