Willis E. Leyden

Will joined the Marine Corp in 1961 and served for four years.  He was stationed in California where he met his future wife, Carol.  In 1965 they married and had three children.  Will joined the Lincoln Fire Department in 1967 and worked there until his death. One of his favorite activities was golfing.  He died on October 9, 1987.  He had just successfully completed a physical fitness test for the Fire Department.  He is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter and six grandchildren.

Willis and i went to Jr. high and HIGH SCHOOL. wILLIS HIS BROTHER DANNY AND RON STORK ALL RAN AROUND.THEY ARE ALL GONE TO A BETTER PLACE NOW I WILL MISS THEM ALL ALWAYS.MAY PEACE BE WITH THERE FAMILY.I THINK ABOUT YOU A LOT AND ALL THE CRAZY THINGS WE DID. DANNYS MOM AND DAD WERE NEXT DOOR AT RONS HOUSE SO WE ROLLED DANNYS 46 CHEVY DOWN THE STREET JUMP STARTED IT JUMPED BACK IN AND DROVE TO BUT WERE KINGS. LITTLE DID WE KNOW THEY WERE WATCHING US OUT THE WINDOW THEY KNEW WE WOULD TRY TO DO THAT. WELL HERE WE WERE SITTING IN KINGS ACTING LIKE BIG KIDS ONLY THING WRONG I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT COULD DRIVE.BUT DANNY WAS DRIVING. WELL WE JUST GOT OUR ORDER WHEN DANNYS MOM AND DAD DROVE UP THEY MADE ME DRIVE THE CAR HOME.DANNY WAS GROUNDED FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.
