Play viola in Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra. I started out playing violin in school and later switched to viola. Lorton Senior Center in NOVA. I read a lot, play bridge, square dance, and Tango.
I remember the sock hops with the LHS Jazz Band playing and the great basketball games.
After getting my BA in education, math, & German, I started on my MA and then married in 1965. When Lynn graduated we joined the Peace Corps in Thailand in the first group to have married couples. We spend 2 years in Ubon Province there (Carol working with the village midwives and Lynn building fish ponds and raising rabbits)and then traveled thru India, Nepal, Iran, Israel, Greece, Hungary, & Austria to Germany. Lynn studied opera in Vienna while I taught at the American International School for 3 years. I developed an interest in programming there with computers at the UN Atomic Energy Commission. When we returned to the states, I finished my MA while teaching in the Lincoln Public Schools. We moved to Kansas City, KS when Lynn took a job with the federal govt. After one year we moved to Northern Virginia where we have been ever since. I have taught math at the high school and junior college levels. I 1988 I accepted a job with the US Census Bureau and enjoyed working there in the design area of the Current Population Survey and chairing the 2000 redesign of current surveys for 18+ years.

Hey there! Hope you're having a SUPER birthday, Carol! Hope you're doing well ... and staying healthy! South Carolina has had some bad weather ... have you been affected? I can remember being snowed in when we traveled to Lincoln one time to visit our folks and had to stay in the same clothes for 3 or 4 days!! (we were just going to drop the boys off to the grandparents and go home the same day) ... best laid plans! Stay well ... hope you could come back for a reunion one of these times ... it would be great seeing you again! Do stay well!
