Brief Life Summary Since 1961:

In 2011 my best friend Phyllis Maurer and I celebrated our 35th anniversary.

I spent 4 years in the Army as an MP, including 13 months in Korea. My last duty station was at Fort Ritchie Maryland where our company did security deep underground where top government officials would go in the event of a nuculer attack. This is a very high level security location, patroled above by MP dog handlers. We also served as honor guard for military funerals.

For a little over 10 years I was a programmer(DJ) at Lincoln's community radio station KZUM. My program was called Sagebrush Serenade, taken from the Poco song of the same name, which was my into. I described the music I played as accoustic, bluegrass, country/country rock and everything in between. The highlight of my years at KZUM was when a blind programer and I did a live feed from the Zoo Bar for a local bluegrass band Cold Spring.

I worked 17 years as a lab technician for the Natural Resources Conservation Service, a branch of the USDA. I retired after 20 years of government work in 2006-one of the best moves I've made.

Now I'm a writer. I've had short stories published in regional publications, two anthologies, and three of Mary Jane Nielson's books( Life In Lincoln...As I Remember It, When I Was A Kid, and Game Day Memories.) My column A Senior Moment has appeared for the last four years in Lincoln' seniors paper 55+.

I will be submitting over the next few months and next year some of my short stories in the crime and paranormal genra's. My last four E-published paranormal short stories are The Encounter, Eli, Ezra, and Game. My two books of crime short stories( WHEELS OF JUSTICE and JUSTICE SEEKERS) as well my E publishedshort stories can be found on Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords. My website is www.leswilliamsauthor.com

Wheels of Justice is a collection of fourteen short crime stories where all three groups, either individually or working together as planned or reluctantly, do what they can to see that justice is served. "A man never knows when fate will step in to lend a helping hand. Like the time back in 69 when I was in Hays City Kansas. That's when I crossed paths again with a friend from my past. This was after gunshots were exchanged and a bushwhacker lay dead in the dusty street. Seems like history has a way of repeating itself."-Lance Kelly
